Tanaka Releases Kar 98k AIR

Initially released almost 20 years ago by Japanese airsoft manufacturer Tanaka Works, the Kar 98k Mauser has now been reborn as a bolt action, spring powered, air cocking replica. Comprised of zinc die-casting and real wood construction, this latest model is significantly more sturdy and aesthetically sound than its plastic receiver ancestor.[1] Featuring an adjustable hop-up, a 24 round capacity magazine, and a short pull bolt, the model is arguably the most skirmish worthy K98 yet. The Kar 98k AIR was officially released by Tanaka on February 14th, 2013, however it is still available for purchase at Tokyo Model Company for 780 USD with spare magazines priced at 24 USD apiece.
