MadBull RIPR is finished

MadBull RESET RIPR battery box

MadBull[1] has finished it's replica of the RESET RIPR (Rifle Integrated Power Rail) and is about to release it soon. If you want to know more about what the RIPR exactly is, you can read our previous article about it here[2].

MadBull's replica now is confirmed to act as a battery box that powers the AEG. Unfortunately none of the available pictures show where exactly the power cables are meant to exit the AEG body and where they enter the RIPR. The silver connectors in the battery box itself however imply that the quick change feature actually works the way it was meant to and that the cables are located in the fixed section of the RIPR.

Separate battery boxes will be available as well, so that spare batteries can be changed in a matter of seconds.

Interestingly there will also be an RIPR version for GBBs which acts as a ready mag system instead. Obviously this version replicates neither the looks nor the function of the real RIPR accurately though. It is said to accept WA and WE mgazines, but it is very likely that all other M4 magazines with orignal dimensions will fit too, like TM Sopmod or Systema PTW magazines. Even standard AEG magazines should fit theoretically, although they might not sit as tight.

MadBull RESET RIPR ready mag

"Madbull is proud to announce our latest and one of our most unique Airsoft accessories: the Rifle Integrated Power Rail (RIPR) licensed by RESET.
Our Airsoft version of the RIPR is available in two configurations:

1. The POWER version is designed for Airsoft AEG rifles and functions much like the RESET RIPR does on real steel firearms – as a complete power system that allows you to swap batteries in seconds instead of minutes.
2. The GBB READY MAG version is designed for WE/WA GBB Rifles, and functions as a ready-mag system.

The two versions are different internally and cannot be interchanged!

RIPR-POWER version includes one battery box, and additional battery boxes can be purchased separately.RIPR-READY MAG version does not include magazine, but is compatible with most GBB magazines."
