I am not sure, but I believe they used the same action system as the M24/M700/XM2010, and I cannot see what the positives in a new system would be. If anything current would be likely to be adopted, it would somehow be a new firing-pin system, which allows the powder within the shell-casing to burn a little bit faster, increasing the angle of flight on longer distances. I am unsure of how it functions, but I have a buddy of mine who is a competition shooter and is looking into getting the system. The downside to that system is how complicated it is - too many small moving parts.
Plus, the current system works just fine. Military specifications are hard to overcome; must be both simple, reliable yet increase performance and, for long-range systems, long-range lethality.
